Gertrude Tan is a lecturer at a Tertiary Institution and a Training Consultant. Her training focus and interest are in Museum Pedagogy and Culture Intelligence. She has trained new and incumbent guides at several Art and Cultural Institutions such as the National Gallery Singapore, National Museum Singapore, Asian Civilizations Museum and the National University of Singapore Museum.

She is also an experienced and active docent with National Gallery Singapore and National Heritage Board.
